Reading 1 & 2 Samuel is like reading several books at
once due to the parallels between Samuel and 1
Chronicles. For fun, you may want to read the
Chronicler’s version of the story; the Chronicler does
not always see things the same way as the author of
Samuel. God’s voice pours through both versions.
